Proxy Club submitted an official protest to the Egyptian Football Association regarding the postponement of the team’s match against Zamalek Club in the Egypt Cup.
Proxy will meet its counterpart, Zamalek, in the 32nd round of the Egypt Cup.
The Proxy and Zamalek match in the Egypt Cup was scheduled to be held next Thursday, May 30, before the Football Association announced the postponement of the Al-Ahly, Zamalek, and Pyramids matches in the cup.
In its protest to the Football Association, Proxy Club said that the club submitted a protest to the Football Association to postpone Zamalek’s match in the 32nd round of the Egypt Cup without clear reasons and indefinitely.
The club management expressed its deep dissatisfaction with the announcement of the postponement only 72 hours before the previously scheduled date of the match, as the match was scheduled to be held next Thursday, 5/30.
Proxy called for the need to set a clear date for the match, especially since the team finished its matches in the second division league three weeks ago and entered a camp in preparation for the scheduled confrontation with Zamalek. The administration was surprised by the letter of postponement without specifying a new date for holding the match, which causes serious damage to the club as it bears great financial burdens. As a result of successive exercises to no avail.
