Captain Mahmoud Ismail, former coach of Smouha Club, commented on Al-Ahly Club’s performance in its match against Al-Dakhiliya in the Premier League, saying: “Al-Ahly’s performance has been excellent for some time, as it is proceeding on a steady path and always knows its way.”
Ismail added, during a phone call to the “From All Angles” program, broadcast on “Al-Shams” satellite channel, that the presence of Pyramids at the top of the league is what created a kind of heat in the league championship, commenting: “Al-Ahly follows Pyramids and knows that every point is important, which makes it enter every match strongly, so it won against Tala’ea El-Geish 4 and Al-Dakhiliya 4,” stressing that the direct matches between Al-Ahly and Pyramids are what will make the difference.
He explained: “Al-Ahly’s victory over Al-Dakhiliya represents a danger to Pyramids, because Al-Ahly is chasing Pyramids,” noting that Pyramids is on the top of the list and is fighting for it, and it has players with high capabilities, which qualifies it to win the championship.
He pointed out that the Pyramids management promised special rewards in the event of winning the league, which encourages the players, adding: “We are all enjoying the competition,” noting that the direct confrontations between Al-Ahly and Pyramids are what will determine the winner of the league.
He confirmed that he had announced the recent period of Youssef Ayman’s joining, which is what happened, explaining that Mohamed Ben Ramadan will be a replacement for Dieng, and Yahya Benatia is being negotiated by Al-Ahly as a replacement for Ali Maaloul, and the negotiations for Moroccan Mohsen Bourika are in their final stages; especially since Mahmoud El Khatib is insisting on him, stressing that there are major deals that Al-Ahly club is planning for during the coming period.
He noted that a number of Saudi clubs have requested Percy Tau, but he insists on being with Al-Ahly. Regarding Mahmoud Kahraba’s crisis, he said: “He must listen to the fitness coach, because there is a training load for each player.”
