Sherif Ekramy: Contracting with Imam Ashour is against Al-Ahly’s constitution

Sherif Ekramy, Pyramids goalkeeper, confirmed that Al-Ahly’s contracting with Imam Ashour, the Red Team’s midfielder, is against the club’s constitution.

Sherif Ekramy said in statements to MBC Masr channel: “I said the facts when Imam Ashour was contracted and I defended Ramadan Sobhi.”

He added: “The saying that Al-Ahly’s door is open to all those who were not raised on the club’s principles and closed to those who were raised on them will raise a number of questions. This saying does not fit Al-Ahly’s constitution regarding the inclusion of Imam Ashour.”

He explained: “I was punished by Pyramids for congratulating Al-Ahly on winning the African Champions League consecutively.”
