PARIS, Sept 20 (KUNA) — Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) on Friday inaugurated its regional headquarters in the Italian capital Rome, in a move aimed at enhancing tourism and trade cooperation between Kuwait and Italy.
The headquarters of the airline was opened in the presence of the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Italy Nasser Al-Qahtani, the Consul General of the State of Kuwait in Milan Sheikh Jaber Al-Duaij Al-Sabah, a number of Arab and foreign ambassadors accredited in Rome, officials from the Civil Aviation Authority and the relevant ministries, as well as the Head of the Regional Headquarters of Kuwait Airways Ali Al-Khraim.
Ambassador Al-Qahtani stressed in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the sidelines of the opening the strength of Kuwaiti-Italian relations in all fields, including aviation and transportation.
He pointed out that these deep-rooted and historical relations have been characterised throughout this period by a spirit of “cooperation, friendship and partnership”, noting that this occasion coincides with the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two friendly countries.
Al-Qahtani also praised the important role of Kuwait Airways as the national carrier of the State of Kuwait in supporting the partnership between the two countries by enhancing tourism cooperation and increasing trade exchange in the air cargo movement of Kuwait Airways aircraft.
He pointed to “the great role in building bridges of communication between the peoples of the two friendly countries, wishing more progress and success for Kuwait Airways.” (End) MA / H S S
