The Egyptian national team has officially qualified for the African Cup of Nations finals after achieving victory this evening, Tuesday, over the Mauritania national team, with a goal without a response.
The Egyptian national team met with Mauritania this Tuesday evening, at the Sheikh Ould Bedia Stadium, as part of the matches of the fourth round of qualifiers for the 2025 African Cup of Nations, scheduled to be held in Morocco.
Ibrahim Adel scored the only goal in the match, which ensured our national team qualified by 6 points over our closest pursuers in the third group.
The Egyptian national team began its matches in the African Nations qualifiers by defeating the Cape Verde national team with a score of 3-0, before defeating the Botswana national team with a score of 4-0, and then it defeated Mauritania with a score of 2-0, and repeated the same victory over Mauritania today, but with an unanswered goal.
In the same round, the Botswana national team defeated the Cape Verde national team with a score of 1-0, so the group standings after the end of the fourth group were as follows:
1- Egypt national team with 12 points.
2- Botswana with 6 points.
3- Cape Verde with 3 points.
