President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inspected the headquarters of the Police Academy at dawn today, where he followed the progress of work at the academy, the training of students, and their level of readiness.
President Sisi praised the students’ discipline and the skills and abilities they acquired, stressing the state’s keenness to select the best personnel to maintain the country’s security.
President Sisi held a dialogue with the new students in which he congratulated them on joining the Police Academy and the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. He also congratulated the Christian students on the occasion of Great Lent.
President Sisi addressed the regional situation and the challenges and new security responsibilities it poses to the security services. President Sisi said: “With regard to the external position, of course, you are following very well the war in Gaza, which has exceeded 5 months from last October 7 until today… a very long time, 5 months on.” The violence and killing that is taking place… and we are trying with all sincere and honest effort to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip so that we can protect and save our people in Gaza, especially the innocent civilians, and we are now talking about more than 30 thousand, two-thirds of whom are women and children, and more than 70 thousand injured. In addition, approximately 60 to 70% of the sector, its buildings, facilities, infrastructure, government facilities, and almost all service facilities, the backbone of the sector, were destroyed during this war.”
President Sisi said, “We are trying to stop the bloodshed in the Gaza Strip and we are seeking to bring in the largest amount of aid,” warning of the danger of an invasion of Palestinian Rafah.
President Sisi stressed that we seek to create a real opportunity to establish an independent Palestinian state with international recognition, adding: “We warned in advance of the expansion of the conflict in the region because of what is happening in Gaza.”
