Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani: Forming a specialized committee urgently to accurately inventory the losses and damages.
Minister of Culture: We are awaiting the results of the investigations conducted by the Public Prosecution and the forensic laboratory report to determine the causes of the fire.
Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, went this morning to the site of the Al-Ahram Studio fire, in the Omraniyah neighborhood, to determine the extent of the losses and damage to the site as a result of the fire that broke out at dawn today in the decor of the popular neighborhood.
The Minister of Culture reassured the safety of all studio workers, and also inspected the Al-Ahram Studio buildings and the plazas attached to it.
Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, explained that the fire broke out in the decor of the “Popular Neighborhood” in which one of the Ramadan works is currently being filmed, and the efforts of civil protection men succeeded in controlling it.
The Minister of Culture confirmed that the “alley” decorations that caught fire were installed on land far from the plazas, studios, and the main and historic buildings of Al-Ahram Studio, which was not harmed.
Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani also confirmed that the Ministry is awaiting the results of the investigations conducted by the Public Prosecution and the forensic laboratory report to determine the causes of the fire.
The Minister of Culture directed the formation of a specialized committee – as a matter of urgency – to accurately inventory the losses and damages.
The inspection was attended by Dr. Khaled Abdel Jalil, Managing Director of the Cultural and Cinematic Assets Management Company, and Engineer Muhammad Abu Saada, Managing Director of the Holding Company for Investment in Cultural and Cinematic Industries.
