The Ministry of Finance, represented by the General Administration of Governance, Risk and Compliance, concluded its participatory meeting in the financial system, which it recently organized at its headquarters in Riyadh under the title: “Governance, Risk and Compliance Leaders in the Financial System”, in the presence of His Excellency the Chairman of the Steering Committee, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Furaih, and with the participation of representatives of the authorities. From the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Government Spending and Procurement Efficiency Authority, the National Center for Government Resource Systems, and the Red Sea International Company.
The participants in the meeting discussed a number of important topics related to improving governance, transparency, and avoiding conflicts of interest. They also talked about the uses of digital tools in achieving effective risk management, including the artificial intelligence tools currently present in existing initiatives expected to be completed in the first quarter of the year 2025, while noting the most important Risks arising in the sector.
The meeting aims to enhance cooperation and exchange of experiences between entities in the financial system by transferring best practices and discussing common challenges, which contributes to improving governance, risk and compliance communities.
