Belgian Thibaut Courtois suffered a new injury, a tear in the meniscus of his right knee during Real Madrid’s training yesterday, which required surgery.
For his part, Mario Cortegana, a journalist for the Spanish newspaper Marca, confirmed that Courtois will be absent for two months after the surgery.
The surgery was supervised by Dr. Manuel Leys, a knee specialist.
Courtois left Real Madrid’s training session yesterday, Tuesday, crying, after feeling severe pain in the injured area, and that Courtois’ injury will keep him out of the field for another two months, which means his season is practically over.
Courtois recently returned to participate in Real Madrid training, after recovering from the cruciate ligament injury he suffered days before the start of the current season.
