Books – Manal Al-Masry:
The InstaPay instant transfer application has returned to normal operation after a number of customers complained of difficulty opening the application.
A responsible banker explained in response to Masrawy’s question, “There is no problem currently. The system is working. It is a simple technical matter and it has been solved.”
Today, Thursday, a number of customers complained – on social media pages – about the breakdown of the “InstaPay” application for instant transfers due to the difficulty of logging in and carrying out transactions.
The official InstaPay page on Facebook witnessed comments from some customers regarding the difficulty of opening the application, and facing difficulty in recharging the balance.
Engineer Ihab Nasr, Deputy Assistant Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt for Banking Operations and Payment Systems, had previously said that the number of users of the InstaPay application recorded about 6.5 million users by the end of last year since its official launch in March 2022.
He added that transactions of the “InstaPay” application, the national network for real-time payments, reached about 800 billion pounds by the end of 2023.
