President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, attended the annual Iftar ceremony held by the Armed Forces coinciding with the celebration of the tenth of Ramadan victories.

This came in the presence of Counselor Hanafi Jabali, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Counselor Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razek, Speaker of the Senate, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria, Patriarch of the See of Mark, and General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief. For the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production, and Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces.

The breakfast ceremony was also attended by a number of ministers, governors, leaders of the main branches, commanders of the armed forces and civil police, and a group of senior statesmen and veteran commanders of the armed forces.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi congratulated the men of the armed forces and the great Egyptian people on the anniversary of the victories of the Tenth of Ramadan, which will remain one of the most wonderful epics of heroism, sacrifice and redemption, expressing his appreciation for the efforts of the men of the armed forces and their sacrifices to preserve the security of the nation and the safety of its lands.

President Sisi paid tribute to the nation’s righteous martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defense of the nation’s soil, stressing that the state will not forget its martyrs who illuminated the path of development and construction with their blood, noting that the Egyptian people appreciate the efforts and sacrifices made by the men of the armed forces to protect Egypt and preserve its sanctities.

President Sisi expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the armed forces in cooperation with all Egyptian state agencies and institutions to achieve comprehensive development, provide a decent life for citizens in all parts of the country, and support the pillars of Egyptian national security in light of the current changes and challenges.
