Roman Sorkin continued tonight (between Sunday and Monday) on his journey towards obtaining a contract in the NBA. The Israeli recorded a solid individual game in a Golden State uniform against the Lakers in a 68:92 victory, their second in a row. Watch his moves in the video player above>>>
The Maccabi Tel Aviv center came off the bench, scored 8 points (3/7 for twos, 0/2 for threes, 2/2 from the line) to which he added 8 rebounds, an assist and a block while playing 18 minutes. Sorkin was very active, especially in the first half, initiating back-to-back moves and dominating the paint, with four offensive rebounds.
The Israeli missed several times relatively comfortable shots under the basket, and again failed to score beyond the arc, but can be encouraged by another stable personal performance. Brony James, LeBron’s son, did not play on the other side due to swelling in his knee.
At this point, Sorkin takes part in the limited summer league of California, in which three games are played, the last of which will be against Sacramento (between Wednesday and Thursday, 5:00). After that, will be part of the Las Vegas Summer League, where each team will play five games, and try to impress the leaders of the Warriors to get a contract in the best league in the world.
