The price of gold jumped today, Monday, in Egypt in the middle of trading, and the gram increased by 90 pounds, compared to the prices at the beginning of trading, according to what Naguib Naguib, former Secretary General of the Gold Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy.
The price of a gram of gold fell by 50 pounds at the beginning of trading.
Gold prices today
14-karat gold prices rose to 2,187 pounds per gram.
The price of 18 carat gold rose to 2811 pounds per gram.
The price of 21 carat gold reached 3,280 pounds per gram.
The price of 24 carat gold reached about 3749 pounds per gram.
The price of the gold pound
The price of the gold pound increased to 26,240 pounds. The price may vary from one merchant to another, and this price is equal to the value of gold in the pound.
Gold price globally
The global price of gold rose to about $2,358 per ounce (an ounce is equivalent to about 31.1 grams of 24 karat gold) during Monday’s trading, an increase of 0.56%, according to the latest update of Bloomberg data.
