Political thinker Dr. Mustafa El-Fiqi commented on the nomination of Ambassador Badr Abdel-Ati as Minister of Foreign Affairs, succeeding Minister Sameh Shoukry.
Al-Fiqi said, “Abdel-Ati is a self-made and hard-working man who deserves this position, and his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs was a pleasant surprise for me,” explaining that he is closer to the Amr Moussa school, and most of his generation were inclined towards his method and performance.
Al-Fiqi added during his interview on the program “What’s Happening in Egypt”, presented by the media figure “Sherif Amer” on the “MBC Masr” channel, today, Tuesday, that the Minister of Foreign Affairs must be very patient and have the ability to follow up on several files at the same time, noting that the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs is concerned in the coming period with the Palestinian issue and the Renaissance Dam file.
He continued: “There is always a direct relationship between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the President of the Republic.”
