Mayada Ramadan, one of the survivors of the Abu Ghaleb ferryboat accident, said that the day of the accident was the first day she boarded the ferryboat.
She added during her interview with the program “Happening in Egypt,” presented by the journalist Sherif Amer, broadcast on MBC Egypt, on Wednesday evening, that the accident occurred due to the driver’s quarrel with a number of young men, saying: “I was going to work that day.” Which has no exams.
She continued: My sister died in the microbus that fell into the water as I got out of the window and the driver jumped into the water and he was the one who saved me and some of the girls, stressing that the ferry has no back wall to secure the car.
She continued: My daily salary is 130 pounds, and the employer bears the transportation costs.
