After the grave mistake and the false oath… a message from Raghed Al-Najjar to Al-Nasr fans with “tears in his eyes”

Raghed Al-Najjar, goalkeeper of Al-Nasr Saudi Club, sent a message to the fans of the first football team: After bidding farewell to the 2023-2024 AFC Champions League.

Al-Nasr exited the AFC Champions League in the quarter-finals; After the loss (1-3) to Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates by “penalty kicks”, following a draw with four goals for the same in the home and away score.

Al-Najjar committed a fatal mistake in the third goal against Al-Nasr, during the return match, before… He swears that he will bring the team a qualifying card from penalty kicks; However, he failed to block any kick.

Regarding this, Al-Najjar said in statements after the match, with tears in his eyes: “There are no words to apologize to Al-Nasr fans for this mistake and great misfortune in the third goal.”

The Nasraoui goalkeeper expressed his great sadness at the match scenario. His team returned the score more than once, before leaving the competition through penalty kicks.

Raghed Al-Najjar thanked Qalaat Al-Alamy fans for coming to the “Awal Park” stadium in large numbers and supporting the team from the first to the last minute, even though the match against Al Ain coincided with the first day of Ramadan.
