The first football team of Zamalek Club qualified for the group stage of the Confederation Cup after defeating the Kenyan Police by two goals to one in the match that took place between them yesterday evening at Cairo Stadium in the second leg of the 32nd round of the tournament. Zamalek had previously won the first leg that took place in Kenya by one goal to none.

Portuguese Jose Gomes, Zamalek’s technical director, was keen to prepare the new deals that were signed during the current summer transfer period, before facing Al-Ahly in the African Super Cup.

Gomez gave the opportunity to participate with Zamalek’s new signings in the friendly match that the team will play against Zamalek’s youth team born in 2005, to prepare them for the African Super Cup match scheduled for next Friday in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Zamalek club signed 5 players in the summer transfer market, namely: Palestinian Omar Farag, Moroccan Mahmoud Ben Taig, Polish Konrad Michalak, Senegalese Sidi Ndiaye, and Mohamed Hamdy, in order to provide something extra to the White team in the new season.
