Al-Ittihad agrees on its third foreign deal…and postpones its conclusion because of Cristiano Ronaldo’s friend!

The Union continues to work hard in the summer Mercato.

Al-Ittihad Saudi Club has reached an agreement with its “third” foreign deal to strengthen the ranks of the first football team, in preparation for the new sports season 2024-2025.

The Union has concluded two foreign deals, this summer – so far – by contracting with Algerian midfielder Houssem Aouar, from the Italian capital team Roma, in addition to French winger Moussa Diaby, coming from Aston Villa, England.

According to the newspaper “Marca”, on Friday evening, the Union Dean agreed on all the details of the contract with Serbian star Predrag Rajkovic, goalkeeper of the Spanish club Real Mallorca.

The topic is continued below.

The Spanish newspaper revealed that the federation was supposed to officially announce the Rajkovic deal, but it preferred to postpone this matter, hoping to reach an agreement with a bigger name in goalkeeping.

The newspaper announced that the main target of the union “now” is the Portuguese goalkeeper Diogo Costa, the star of Porto and the Portuguese national football team, to include him in the summer of this year.

She explained that the Saudi giant’s management will work in the coming hours to conclude the contract with Costa; and if it fails to do so, it will return to complete the deal for the Real Mallorca goalkeeper.

It is worth noting that Costa shone in the last edition of the European Nations Cup “Euro 2024”, from which the Portuguese national team was eliminated in the quarter-finals; he also showed a strong relationship with his compatriot, the legend Cristiano Ronaldo, the striker for the first football team of the Saudi Al-Nasr Club.
