Alon Shamriz – his father is furious with the corporation that broadcast his son’s tapes: I did not approve

Avi Shamriz, the father of the late abductee Alon Shamriz, who was killed by IDF fire in the Gaza Strip last December due to a mistaken identity, was interviewed this morning (Monday) by Bequest 12 and criticized Kan 11, which published last night the chilling recordings in which his son is heard shouting “save time” shortly before he was shot dead.

Alon Shamriz’s brother opposes the publication of the recording: “Israel is using psychological terrorism”

Avi Shamriz, Alon’s father, was interviewed this morning by Keshet 12 and clarified that the recordings were published without the family’s approval. “I am sorry that we are hearing this recording. It was not on my mind. If I had known that they would play this thing, I would not have approved it. I do not know who leaked these recordings. If it is the army, it is very serious. It does not serve the interests Nobody’s, neither theirs nor ours. It’s a shame that this is done in a situation where we are filing a lawsuit against the state in the High Court. The army, probably for its own reasons, revealed this recording. I don’t understand what their considerations are.

“I did not approve the publication of the tape. If I had known that the tape was going to be played, I would have stopped it. I only approved the article itself in which Alon’s heroism is described. The reporter said she was incorporating excerpts from the IDF’s investigation. If I had understood that it was the Go-Pro’s camera, I would not have allowed it.”

On the Twitter page of Kahn Haods it is written: “The heroic recordings of the late Alon Shamriz were broadcast with the approval of Alon’s father, Avi Shamriz.”
