Books – Hassan Morsi:
Ophthalmologist Walaa Muhammad warned against resorting to eye drops without consulting a doctor, noting that this may be a temporary solution, but it may make the situation worse.
Dr. Walaa explained, in television statements, that if you suffer from “itching, scratching, or tears,” you must consult an ophthalmologist, especially if the symptoms persist for a long time.
She added that these symptoms usually come together except in certain cases, which are: eye redness, in which case the situation is reassuring because it is often an eye infection as a result of dealing with unclean media that is transmitted from the hands to the eyes.
She pointed out that a large percentage of the incidence of dry eyes increases due to computer and phone screens, because at this time the rate of closing and opening of the eyes, which helps moisturize them, decreases.
Dr. Walaa Muhammad continued: “It is possible to resort to a rule that has been reached, which is that every 20 minutes of looking at screens, you must take 20 seconds and look at a distance of 20 meters to give relief to the eyes. There are glasses that are equipped with a blue light filter feature to protect the eye from this light caused by the screens.” “.
