Argument ends in murder-suicide in north Phoenix

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Two roommates are dead following an argument that led to a murder-suicide at a north Phoenix home Saturday night.

Around 11 p.m., Phoenix police officers were called to a home near 47th Place and Monte Cristo Avenue, near Tatum Boulevard and Greenway Road, after a woman reported her boyfriend had been shot. When officers arrived and spoke to the woman, she reported that she heard another shot come from inside the home.

As police searched the home, they found 44-year-old Ryan Liming dead from a gunshot wound, and 55-year-old James Quinn dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

After speaking to witnesses and reviewing evidence, detectives believe there was a disagreement between Liming and Quinn earlier in the evening. According to Phoenix PD, Quinn later shot and killed Liming, then turned the gun on himself sometime after.

This investigation is still ongoing.
