An American official said on Thursday that the United States of America held talks today with Egyptian officials regarding temporary truce negotiations in Gaza.

The American official continued: “We hope that a result will be reached quickly. It is not possible to predict a specific date for reaching an agreement on stopping the fighting in Gaza, but we consider it a primary goal for us.”

The American official confirmed: “Today, President Biden will announce directing the army to establish a port on the Gaza coast to receive ships carrying aid to the Strip.”

The American official continued: “President Biden will announce in his State of the Union address that the army will establish a port on the Gaza coast to receive aid.”

The American official noted: “Establishing the port will not require American forces on the ground in Gaza, and the forces will remain in ships off the coast.”

According to Israeli media, the families of Israeli prisoners in Gaza blocked a road near the Ministry of Defense headquarters in Tel Aviv to demand the release of their relatives.
