The Musical Professions Syndicate announced the date and location of the funeral of the artist Medhat Saleh’s brother
The union’s statement said: “Funeral prayers will be held for the late Ahmed Saleh after Friday prayers from Al-Hosary Mosque in 6th of October City.”
Ahmed Saleh, brother of the artist Medhat Saleh, died in the early hours of Friday morning.
Medhat mourned his brother on his Instagram account, and commented: “Goodbye, Ahmed. Goodbye, my son. Goodbye, my love. We belong to God and to Him we shall return… Ahmed Saleh has passed away.”
It is noteworthy that Medhat Saleh began his artistic career in childhood when he heard Dr.’s voice. Youssef Shawqi was singing in school celebrations, so he introduced him to Abla Fadela to sing on radio programs. When he finished his university studies at Al-Azhar University, Department of History, he devoted himself to singing and recorded his first song (Akeed), and his songs followed, the most prominent of which is “Another Planet, God, Sir.”
He has participated in many works since the late 1980s, including “Al-Fawazir” in 1988 and 1989, and among his most prominent works are “Hazmni Ya, Heat Wave, Abu Al-Ela 90.”
