The Canal Electricity Distribution Company issued a table showing the areas affected by the power outage, in order to reduce loads on the electricity network.
The schedule of areas cut off from electricity included between 7 and 13 areas, for two and a quarter hours, from 11 am to 5 pm.
The Council of Ministers announced a plan to reduce electricity loads, which began to be implemented at 11 noon today, Monday, in the various governorates, after coordination between the Ministries of Electricity and Petroleum.
Four regions and governorates are excluded: Matrouh, North Sinai, South Sinai, and the Red Sea, in addition to strategic areas that are excluded from police stations, hospitals, and others.
The Ministry of Electricity announced the return of the plan to reduce loads in all regions of the Republic, to what was before the beginning of the month of Ramadan.
On the second of last January, the Ministry of Electricity took a number of measures, compressing the load shedding period to be from 11 a.m. until five p.m., with the Ministry announcing the load shedding schedules for each region (two hours for each region), so that the shedding period ends at five p.m., Provided that the distribution companies work according to the schedules announced at the end of last July, and some load shedding times that exceed 5 p.m. are compressed.
