De Bruyne: The salary for two seasons in the Saudi League is equal to my income in my career sports

Belgian Kevin De Bruyne, the Manchester City star, confirmed his readiness to move to the Saudi League, after the end of his contract with the “Citizens” in the summer of next year.

De Bruyne said, in statements to the Belgian network HLN, that regarding “the move to the Saudi League, when I am at this age I must be open to everything.”

De Bruyne added, “We are talking about huge sums of money in the final stage of my career. I have to think about that.”

He continued, “As for my wife, she does not mind going on any new and strange adventure. I have to think about my future, and this topic is being discussed within the family.”

He continued, “If I play in Saudi Arabia for two years, I will be able to earn an incredible amount. Before that, I had to play for 15 years, and perhaps I have not reached this amount yet.”

“You have to think about what this could mean for you at a later stage in your life,” the Belgian star noted.

He concluded, “My contract with Manchester City expires in the summer of next year. I have plenty of time to think about my future and make a decision about it.”

De Bruyne (32 years old) moved to Manchester City in the summer of 2015, coming from the Wolfsburg team, and played in his shirt 382 matches, during which he scored 102 goals and made 107 goals. He is also considered one of the most important pillars of the English Premier League champion for the 2023-2024 season, under the leadership of Spanish coach Pep. Guardiola.

De Bruyne led Manchester City to achieve 16 titles, including 6 English Premier League titles, 5 English League Cups, two FA Cups, and one each in the Champions League, Club World Cup and Charity Shield.

The “Roshen” League has become a destination for the world’s most prominent stars since the beginning of 2022, when Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo decided to move to Al-Nasr Club after terminating his contract with English Manchester United.
