Egypt national team list for the matches between Cape Verde and Botswana

The technical staff of the Egyptian national team, led by Hossam Hassan, announced the selected list for the matches between Cape Verde and Botswana this November, as part of the fifth and sixth round matches of the qualifiers for the 2025 African Cup of Nations finals.

The Egyptian national team will play against Cape Verde on November 15th, and will host Botswana on the 19th of the same month.

The list was as follows:

Goalkeepers: Mohamed El-Shenawy (Al-Ahly) – Mahdi Soliman (Al-Ittihad Alexandria) – Mohamed Awad (Zamalek) – Mostafa Schubert (Al-Ahly)

Defense line: Ahmed Ramadan Beckham (Cleopatra Ceramica) – Hossam Abdel Majeed (Zamalek) – Ahmed Eid (Al-Masry Al-Port Said) – Mohamed Ahmed Rabia (Smouha) – Mohamed Hamdy (Pyramids) – Omar Kamal (Al-Ahly).

Midfield: Ahmed Nabil Koka (Al-Ahly) – Hamdi Fathi (Al-Wakra, Qatar) – Mohamed Shehata (Zamalek) – Mahmoud Saber (Smouha) – Marawan Attia (Al-Ahly) – Nabil Imad Donga (Zamalek) – Nasser Maher (Zamalek) – Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet (Al-Rayyan, Qatar) – Mostafa Fathi (Pyramids) – Taher Mohamed Taher (Al-Ahly) – Mahmoud Abdel Hafeez Zalaka (Ceramica Cleopatra) – Ibrahim Adel (Pyramids).

Attack: Omar Marmoush (Eintracht Frankfurt, Germany) – Mostafa Mohamed (Nantes, France) – Osama Faisal (National Bank).

Mohamed Salah will be absent from the Egyptian national team’s roster in the camp this November, especially after ensuring qualification to the 2025 African Nations.

While the duo, Mohamed Abdel Moneim, the French player for Nice, and Ramy Rabia, the Al-Ahly defender, are absent from the Egyptian national team list. Due to injury.

While there are 4 new faces on the Egyptian national team roster under the leadership of Hossam Hassan, they are: Taher Mohamed Taher, who returns to the national team after 6 years, and Hossam Abdel Majeed, Mohamed Rabia, and Mahmoud Zalaka, who join the national team for the first time.

Only 3 professionals attended the upcoming Egypt national team camp: Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Omar Marmoush, and Mostafa Mohamed.

The Egyptian national team secured qualification at the top of Group C to the finals of the 2025 African Nations Championship, after achieving the full mark by winning 4 matches.
