Khabarni – Lebanese artist Fairouz rejected a tempting offer to sing in Saudi Arabia at the invitation of the head of the Saudi Entertainment Authority, Turki Al-Sheikh.
According to a French newspaper, Fayrouz, 89 years old, refused to sing in the Riyadh season, despite the very large and tempting sum that was offered to her years after her retirement, unlike the 85-year-old artist Najat Al-Saghira, who was recently honored during the Joy Awards ceremony in… Riyadh, after many years of inconsistency.
Fairouz has not participated in any concert for 12 years, whether in Lebanon or abroad, as her last appearance was at the “Platia” Theater in Jounieh on the Lebanese Keserwan Coast, where she performed 4 concerts.
As for her latest album, it is entitled “Babali”, which was released in 2017, and included a number of songs translated from Western melodies.
