Mido Gaber, the Al-Masry player, stressed the importance of the victory achieved by his team at the expense of Vanguards of El-Geish.
Al-Masry succeeded in achieving victory over Tala’ea El-Geish in the first round of the league competition with two free goals scored by Salah Mohsen and Mahmoud Hamada.
Mido Jaber said on On Time Sports: “We went through a very serious preparation period. The beginning was important, especially with the new league system.”
He added, “Our goal is to collect the largest number of points and be part of the group that will compete for the first places in the league.”
He stressed, “The team includes a distinguished group of players, and this is the case with the major teams. Our goal is to provide a level befitting the Egyptian club and its large fans.”
He concluded, “Playing in Suez is a good thing, and I expect a greater presence of Al-Masry fans during the upcoming matches because it represents the biggest motivation for us.”
Salah Mohsen scored the only goal with a wonderful header in the 52nd minute, and Mahmoud Hamada killed the match in the 87th minute.
Al-Masry will play its next match against El-Gouna on November 9 in the second round.
While the Army Vanguards will be a guest at Ghazl El Mahalla on the 7th of the same month.
