Cairo-Masrawy:
Zamalek will face Pyramids at 9 pm today at Cairo International Stadium, in the 18th round of the Egyptian Premier League.
Zamalek faces a crisis before the Pyramids summit, with the team’s goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi suffering a fracture in the humerus bone above the shoulder. The player will undergo treatment for four weeks, while Mohamed Awad will also be absent, due to his exclusion by decision of Jose Gomez, the team’s technical director.
Gomez is considering two youth team players, Mahmoud El-Shennawy (born 2004) and Omar Abdel Aziz (born 2008).
A source revealed to “Masrawy” Gomez’s choices to face Pyramids, and Tunisian striker Seifeddine Jaziri returns to Zamalek’s lineup, after recovering from injury.
The expected formation is as follows:
Goalkeeper, Mahmoud El-Shenawy
Defense line: Ahmed Fattouh, Mostafa El-Zenary, Ahmed Magdy, Omar Gaber
Midfield: Nabil Dunga, Nasser Maher, Abdullah Al-Saeed
Attack line: Mostafa Shalaby, Seifeddine Jaziri, Mahmoud Shikabala
Pyramids tops the Egyptian League table with 68 points, while Zamalek comes in sixth place with 45 points.
