Cairo – Masrawy:
It seems that Zamalek’s attempts to regain their first football team winger, currently with Pyramids, Mostafa Fathi, have reached an end.
Mustafa Fathi appeared in a video clip while attending an event, refusing to answer who he expected to win the African Super Cup between Al-Ahly and his former team, Zamalek, which some interpreted as meaning that the possibility of his transfer to Zamalek had been closed and he did not want to lose Al-Ahly fans.
But the video clip went viral on social media after Zamalek fans showed their shock at the responses of the 30-year-old international player who said: “It’s none of my business,” before another question was directed at him: “Have you left Zamalek?” He replied: “Yes.”
Zamalek club had signed Mustafa Fathi in the 13/14 season, coming from the ranks of Nabroh, before he left on loan to the ranks of Al-Taawoun Saudi Club in the 17/18 season.
The player went on loan to Smouha in the 20/21 season before leaving permanently to join Al-Taawoun in the 21/22 season. He then joined Pyramids on loan the following season before the latter bought his contract.
Zamalek’s name was linked during previous transfer periods with an attempt to include Mustafa Fathi in an attempt to secure the right wing position in anticipation of the departure of its star Ahmed Sayed “Zizo”.
