The eighth session of the International Forum for the Arts of People with Special Needs will be held at the Egyptian Opera House, and this session will be merged with the Afro-Chinese Folklore Arts Festival. A new tradition will be added this year, as for the first time, child judges from Egypt and other countries will be introduced to evaluate the “Bokra Ahla Beina” films. These judges will consist of a group of Egyptian school students, members of the Japanese and Russian communities, in addition to children with special needs from “Awladna”, who will join the judging committees of the forum’s competitions.

This event comes in cooperation with a group of ministries, government agencies and civil society institutions, namely: the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, the Ministry of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the National Council for Women, and the National Council for Persons with Disabilities.
The judging committees for the International Forum for the Arts of the Disabled this year include a special committee for cinema, theatre and poetry, including the artist Sabreen and the artist Ahmed Farid, in addition to a number of ambassadors of countries and directors of Chinese and Russian cultural centres.
