Here is England interim boss Lee Carsley, speaking to ITV:
💬 “It (the win) represents that we’re moving in the right direction. We won’t get too carried away, we’ve got a big game at Wembley on Sunday.
“It’s just important the players played to their strengths. We’ve got a lot of outstanding talent. We spoke about it yesterday, the players that weren’t here, we concentrated on the ones who were. They took their opportunity today.
On the performances of debutants Curtis Jones and Morgan Rogers, Carsley added:
💬 “It’s not surprising, Curtis is an outstanding player. He played really well today, even without his goal. With his goal, it was an excellent performance, I’m really delighted for him.
“People were speaking last night about the inexperience in the squad, but these guys are playing in the Premier League at a really high level. Morgan could have been in the senior squad a little bit earlier, but it was important we took our time a bit and hopefully he’ll be here for a while.”
