The Sheikh Zayed Misdemeanor Court of Appeal punished Imam Ashour, the Al-Ahly club player, with 6 months’ imprisonment on charges of beating a security personnel in a chokehold in a mall in Sheikh Zayed, after accepting the Public Prosecution’s appeal against his innocence.

The Public Prosecution in Sheikh Zayed referred Imam Ashour, Al-Ahly club player, to the misdemeanor court. On charges of beating a security personnel at Arkan Mall in Sheikh Zayed.

Imam Ashour, the Al-Ahly club player, narrated the details of what happened in the “mall strife” during his interrogation about his accusation of assaulting and beating a security personnel at Arkan Mall.

Imam Ashour said in the investigations conducted under the chairmanship of Counselor Ihab Al-Awadi, Chief Prosecutor of Sheikh Zayed’s First and Second Prosecution, that he received a phone call from his wife about being subjected to harassment and harassment by some people while she was at the cinema, so he immediately came to her, accompanied by a friend of his and his wife’s younger brother, to investigate the matter.

Regarding the people who accompanied him at the moment of storming the mall, Imam Ashour said that he did not know who these people were, and they may have been among the crowds who followed him as soon as he saw him. He completely denied that he clashed with any security personnel or beat them, adding that he went to search for those who had harassed his wife after He learned that they were in the security office in the mall garage, and when he arrived inside, he did not find anyone.

After denying that he assaulted the security personnel, the prosecution confronted Imam Ashour with the video clip that recorded the incident, and the player admitted that he had actually clashed with the victim’s security personnel when he saw him filming him while he was inside, so he asked him to stop filming him, saying: “What do you imagine?” and tried to take his phone from him except The security personnel moved away from him and chased him to take the phone from him, but he did not assault him or push him to the ground. The stampede may have caused the security personnel to fall. He also denied insulting him with obscene words.

After completing hearing his statements, the prosecution charged the player, Emam Ashour, with two counts of assaulting and insulting a security personnel.

The prosecution decided to release Imam Ashour, the Al-Ahly club player, on bail of 5,000 pounds, after investigating him on charges of assaulting a security personnel in Arkan Mall in Sheikh Zayed.
