Some of the female DJs who dance among the crowds also break taboos and cross cultural boundaries.

The Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979 turned the country’s cultural life upside down. Pop music, considered non-revolutionary, was banned, causing many musicians to flee.

However, behind closed doors, some things continue as they were before.
