Jelly Roll and Machine Gun Kelly dropped a new music video that features Meghan Fox playing the role of a pregnant woman who gives birth.
The video also spotlights Jelly Roll and wife Bunnie XO’s struggle with infertility, something the couple have been open about experiencing in real life.
Fox’s role has sparked speculation about whether she is expecting in reality.
In the official music video for “Lonely Road,” released July 25, Jelly Roll (whose real name is Jason Deford) and Machine Gun Kelly (real name Colson Baker) portray themselves as struggling financially. Fox, who appears pregnant in the video, and Machine Gun Kelly face medical bills. Meanwhile, Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO grieve over a report stating “Infertility diagnosis.”
Last month, Bunnie XO and Jelly Roll announced they were trying to conceive their first baby through IVF. “We had planned on doing this privately, but decided our IVF journey needed to be shared because we’ve always been so open,” Bunnie XO wrote on Instagram. “And w/all odds stacked against us, it’s already been hard & we have only just begun.”
In the music video, Machine Gun Kelly presents a plan to Jelly Roll to get their families out of debt: Commit a crime.
Jelly Roll declines saying, “I can’t go back down that road.” Machine Gun Kelly responds, “Look out for me tomorrow then.”
The video then shows Machine Gun Kelly robbing a bank and getting arrested, fast-forwarding “8 months later” to Fox introducing a baby girl (credited as Violet Leika in the video) to Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO.
The video’s themes have meaning to both couples.
Bunnie XO, host of the “Dumb Blonde Podcast,” is a stepmother to Jelly Roll’s two children, Bailee Ann, 16, and Noah Buddy, 7, from prior relationships.
In November 2023, Fox released a book of poems titled “Pretty Boys Are Poisonous,” in which she indicated a pregnancy loss. Fox is mother to three children with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green: Noah, 11, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, 7. Machine Gun Kelly is father to teen daughter Casie, whom he shares with his ex, Emma Cannon.
