Challenge and persistence

Down syndrome is defined as a genetic disorder that varies in severity from one child to another, causing intellectual disability, developmental delay, and learning difficulties. However, Rawan was able to overcome her injury by enrolling in the first grades of schools not designated for people with special needs, where she outperformed her peers and colleagues to rank first in her class. However, her love for the Holy Qur’an prompted her to leave school and move towards learning the Book of God.

Regarding her method of memorization, Rawan tells Al Jazeera Net that she continued to read the Qur’an at 5 different times per day, and write down what she memorized, and then she underwent many successful tests after she memorized one or two parts of the Holy Qur’an, until she achieved what she aspires to.

After persistence that lasted 7 years, the young Jordanian woman succeeded in memorizing the entire Qur’an, mastering its recitation, and adhering to its letters.
