Kuwait: Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Prime Minister News

The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Today, Monday, the Emir of Kuwait issued an Emiri order appointing Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Prime Minister.

The official Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported that Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was assigned to nominate the ministers of the new government.

On April 7, the Emir of Kuwait issued an Emiri order accepting the resignation of the government of Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, and assigned it to manage matters until a new government is formed.

Former Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah resigned last April, a few months after he was assigned to form the government.

His resignation was a procedural step after a new parliament was elected that month, making it the fourth parliament since December 2020.
