Recently, news has spread that the distinguished artist Lotfi Labib has suffered from hemiplegia, which has kept him away from art during the current period.
In his first comment on this news, Lotfi Labib said: “The distance from evil meant me…everything said, that is, I am in good health.”
Stressing that everything published on social networking sites are just rumors that have no basis in truth, commenting: “I am like a good person and I am contracted for two films and I am currently filming in them, and everything that is said is malicious rumours.”
He added: “I will soon start filming the film Nour Al Rayes starring Mustafa Kamel, and I am currently filming a film with Mustafa Khater called Towards Umayya.”
It is noteworthy that the last appearance of the artist Lotfy Labib was during the closing ceremony of the Egyptian Catholic Center Film Festival in its 72nd session, where he was honored and given a special award for his participation in the film “Wash Fi Wash,” which participated in the festival activities headed by Father Boutros Daniel.
Labib was moved during the moment of honor, which prompted him to express his gratitude and thanks to those in charge of the festival, commenting: “The future will be better with your prayers, and this award gave me motivation for the future.”
