German Eintracht Frankfurt lost to its French host Lyon, 3-2, in the match that brought together the two teams this evening, Thursday, at the Groupama Stadium, in the sixth round of the league stage of the European League “Europa League”.

Eintracht Frankfurt took the lead through Fares Shuaibi in the 18th minute of the match, before Lyon equalized through Rayyan Cherki in the 27th minute of the match.

In the second half, Malik Fofana scored the second goal for Lyon in the 50th minute, then his teammate Ernest Noamah added the third goal in the 54th minute.

In the 63rd minute of the match, Omar Marmoush participated from the bench, continuing his brilliance in the current season, and scoring the goal to reduce the difference in favor of the visitors in the 85th minute, after he received a ball and headed into the penalty area and shot past the Brazilian goalkeeper of the Lyon team.

The match referee counted 6 minutes of stoppage time in the second half, during which the score did not change despite the opportunities available to both teams, so the match ended with Olympique Lyonnais winning 3-2.

With this victory, Olympique Lyonnais raised its score to 13 points and rose to fourth place, on goal difference against Eintracht Frankfurt, whose score froze at 13 points in fifth place.
