Megan Moroney wins 2024 CMA’s ‘New Artist of the Year’ award

(Gray News) – Megan Moroney won the ‘New Artist of the Year’ award at the 2024 Country Music Association Awards.

The 27-year-old from Georgia said, “Thank you Jesus for putting this dream on my heart,” with misty eyes as she accepted the award.

Moroney won the award minutes before she performed her song “Am I Okay?” on the award stage.

Moroney released her debut album Lucky in 2023. She released her second album, Am I Okay? this past summer.

She was also nominated for CMA’s 2024 Female Vocalist of the Year.

Moroney, the only female in the New Artist category, won over Shaboozey, Nate Smith, Mitchell Tenpenny, Zach Top, and Bailey Zimmerman.
