Meir Toshav, a resident of Minzberg: “Hapoel Tel Aviv will be able to pass to Edmond Safra in the coming days”

Hapoel Tel Aviv announced yesterday (Thursday) the delay in the negotiations between David Mintzberg and Edmond Safra in order to give more time to resolve the debts of the previous ownership group to the club. The one who was part of that ownership group is Meir Toshav, who invested the largest sums of money in the club in recent years. Today (Friday) he decided to break his silence and send an offer to Mintzberg:

“Because the labor is more important to Meir than anything, and although until yesterday no one approached him and said that past debts were delaying the transfer of the group to Edmond Safra, he decided to take action and today sent Safra’s lawyers a detailed proposal on how to transfer the group to him and resolve the business dispute without disturbing him to prepare her for the next season,” reads the language of the appeal to Mintzberg.

Here are the principles of the proposal:

1. Hapoel Tel Aviv will not be a hostage.
2. Safra owns 100% as of June 1, 2024.
3. About NIS 4.5 million of Meir Toshav will be transferred to a trust with Safra.
4. Mintzberg will deposit a similar amount with Safra no later than June 3, 2024.
5. Continue the mediation procedure, which should take a week, to finish or alternatively enter into a binding arbitration procedure already this week.
6. At the end of the procedure, everyone receives/pays their share
7. There is no return on investment. Beyond covering debts, any amount will be contributed equally between:
   A. The women’s group.
   B. The youth department.
   third. peer group.
   d. Memorial events for the team’s fans who fell in the Iron Swords War and on October 7.
