Mohamed Abdel Latif, the new Minister of Education.. A professional career and commitment to education and work

In a new step towards developing the education sector, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Latif was nominated to take over the Ministry of Education portfolio, succeeding Dr. Reda Hegazy. Abdel Latif has a proven record in the field of education and work since an early age, as he traveled to the United States of America to study when he was thirteen years old.

There, he noticed that everyone combined work and study, so he decided to try it himself. He worked as a newspaper vendor and then in a restaurant. Abdul Latif proudly spoke about that period, which taught him self-reliance and responsibility.

After returning to Egypt, Abdel Latif completed his university studies, and preferred to continue working in parallel with his studies. He assumed the position of CEO of Dr. Narmin Ismail Schools, which was founded by his mother, Dr. Narmin Ismail, who is the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Advanced Education Company, which owns the Dr. Narmin Ismail Schools Group (NIS). Abdel Latif has more than 25 years of experience in the field of education, which qualifies him to assume this great responsibility.

Abdul Latif stresses the importance of teaching students to appreciate and love their country, in addition to their academic excellence. He expresses his vision by saying: “If I become the best doctor or engineer in the world and I don’t appreciate my country, I don’t want me,” pointing out the need to develop national awareness among students in addition to their academic education.

With this proven track record and long experience, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Latif looks forward to leading the Ministry of Education towards a bright future, combining education, work and national values in a distinguished educational journey.
