The Agouza Misdemeanor Court has fined former Zamalek Club President Mortada Mansour 3,000 pounds for insulting and defaming Mahmoud El Khatib, Mamdouh Abbas, Walid El Attar, Hesham Nasr, Hany El Attal, and Hesham Hattab.

Earlier, the Administrative Court decided to postpone the lawsuit filed by Mamdouh Abbas, the former president of Zamalek Club, which demands that the former president of Zamalek Club, Mortada Mansour, pay 2 million pounds, due to his expulsion from Zamalek Club membership, for review.

On February 25, 2023, the Court of Cassation upheld the two rulings issued against Mortada, sentencing him to one month in prison, with an enforceable sentence, and one year in prison with a stay of execution, for accusing him of insulting and slandering Mahmoud Al-Khatib (which is the sentence that the president of Zamalek carried out) and which led to the removal of his membership from the presidency of Zamalek.
