New Zealand coach: We wish Mohamed Salah was there

Darren Bazeley, coach of the New Zealand national team, spoke about facing Egypt in the New Administrative Capital Cup tournament, during the upcoming international break.

Bazelli said in statements on On Time Sports 1: “It is great to come back again and play the first international match this year. We have brought in a lot of players who worked with us last year, in addition to calling up new faces.”

He added: “As a Liverpool fan, Mohamed Salah is considered a top player in the world, so it was exciting to test ourselves against a player like him, who always makes a difference and punishes English Premier League clubs.”

He continued: “So his absence from Egypt is considered a loss, but they have a good team, are linked to a high classification, and have performed well over the past few years.”

He stressed: “The Egyptian national team has distinguished local players, and this indicates the great cohesion in their team, but the absence of a player like Mohamed Salah is a blow to them.”

He concluded: “Last year we played good matches against many teams. This year we face new challenges again. We will strive to develop and achieve good results in the matches, and these matches may be against teams that we face in the World Cup.”

The New Zealand national team is participating in the New Administrative Capital Cup tournament, which is hosted by Egypt during the current March hiatus.

Egypt, New Zealand, Tunisia, and Croatia are participating in the New Administrative Capital Cup tournament.
