It has been confirmed that Moroccan club Wydad will be absent from the 2024/25 CAF Champions League.
Wydad lost to the Royal Army with a score of 1-0 in the match that was held today, Saturday, in the 25th round of the Moroccan League.
After this loss, the maximum position that Wydad can occupy after the end of the league is third, as only those in first and second places qualify.
This absence from the CAF Champions League is the first in 9 years.
The Royal Army strengthened its lead in the Moroccan league standings with 61 points, while Wydad ranked fifth with 37 points.
