Dr. Adel Al-Adawi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Galala University, expressed his deep sadness over the tragic accident that killed 12 students and injured 28 others.
“Adawi” said in a post on his personal Facebook page: “Survival and permanence belong to God. Our hearts are dripping with blood of grief for the victims of the painful accident among the students of His Majesty.”
The Galala-Sokhna road, south of Suez Governorate, witnessed the overturn of a bus carrying Galala University students.
Dr. Mina Fawzi, Director of the Ambulance Facility, directed 25 cars to the site of the accident, where the paramedics provided medical insurance.
The Suez Ambulance Facility had received a report from motorists stating that the bus had overturned on the Galala – Sokhna road, in the direction of Suez, at the road junction in front of the car supply station.
The initial inspection revealed that the bus had number plates “A.Q.M.” 2376, and was on its way back to Suez, with Galala University students traveling on it, and that excessive speed was the reason behind the bus’s overturn.
Dr. Ismail Al-Hafnawi, Director of the Health Care Branch in Suez, also directed to raise the level of preparedness and summon medical teams to the emergency department of the Suez Medical Complex to receive the injured and direct them to the internal departments and care after diagnosing their cases.
