Books – Moataz Abbas:

Director Peter Mimi revealed the scenes behind the selection of young faces to appear and participate in the series The Assassins, most notably the artist Ahmed Abdel Wahab, the artist Sarah Al-Shami, and Mohamed Youssef.

“Mimi” said, in his interview with the “Last Word” program, broadcast on “ON” satellite channel, today, Sunday, that the role of Ahmed Abdel Wahab was difficult and exhausted us a lot, continuing: “I was sitting and the name Ahmed El Wahab was said twice, and I considered that a sign.” I asked to contact him to test some scenes, because the role is very important and big, and I asked to do casting, but he did not want to come and his wife convinced him to film.”

He added: “Ahmed did the casting and I sat with him and talked to him about the role. The second day he apologized for the series and said, ‘This is a big role, and I am afraid I will ruin the series.’ But I convinced him and told him, ‘You are the best person to do it, and we will stand together and the world will move on.’”

Regarding the choice of Sarah Al-Shami in the role of Nourhan, he explained: “Sarah spoke to her and I told her about the role. She was a little confused but excited, and the world went with her and I filmed scene after scene.”
