President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrives in the Chinese capital, Beijing – State Information Service

Today, 5/28/2024, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived in the Chinese capital, Beijing, in response to the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping to pay a state visit to the People’s Republic of China.

The visit includes holding summit discussions between President Sisi and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, and meetings with senior leaders of the Chinese state, where aspects of strengthening bilateral relations and opening broader horizons for cooperation in various fields will be discussed, coinciding with the tenth anniversary of raising relations between Egypt and China to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership. .

The discussions also include various regional and international issues of common concern, most notably the war in Gaza, and ways to restore stability in the region, in a way that achieves the aspirations of its peoples for peace, security and development.

President Sisi is scheduled to meet with the heads of a number of major Chinese companies operating in various fields, where opportunities to attract more investments to Egypt will be discussed, in light of the state’s direction to enhance mechanisms for localization of industry and technology transfer, through cooperation with the private sector and foreign direct investment.

The visit will also include President Sisi’s attendance at the opening session of the tenth ministerial meeting of the Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum, which will be held on May 30, with the participation of the Chinese President and a number of Arab leaders, which is scheduled to discuss various aspects of Arab-Chinese relations and ways to enhance them.
