Books – Muhammad Abdel Nasser:
Dr. Manar Ghanem, a member of the media center at the General Meteorological Authority, said that temperatures will decline starting today as a result of the influence of northern air masses coming from southern Europe, and the extension of an air depression that causes low and medium clouds to form.
Ghanem added that temperatures dropped by 4 degrees, and are now around normal levels, recording 22 and 23 degrees in Cairo instead of 26 degrees during the past two days.
She continued: “The weather during the current period is characterized by winter weather, and it is warm during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, and North Upper Egypt, and tends to be warm on the northern coasts, while it ranges from hot to hot in South Upper Egypt and South Sinai.”
She confirmed that the temperature during the night period decreases significantly, especially in the late night and early morning periods, pointing out that it is very cold during the late hours, especially in new cities, open places, and desert areas.
Regarding the chances of rain, she confirmed that the northern coasts of the country and northern Lower Egypt are expected to witness chances of light rain at intermittent periods of the day, stressing that it will not affect the daily activities of citizens.
She pointed out that the most important weather phenomena expected to occur during the current period is water mist, which is found on most agricultural and highway roads close to bodies of water, explaining that it leads to decreased horizontal visibility in the early morning.
