The Sultanate of Oman announced that the day after tomorrow, Tuesday, is the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, with tomorrow being Monday, the continuation of the month of Shaban, due to the inability to see the crescent of the holy month.

This comes as the International Astronomy Center announced, through its account on the “X” website, that so far: 8 countries located in the east of the world have announced that Tuesday, March 12, is the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, or are expected to announce this, they are:
Australia
Singapore
Indonesia
Malaysia
Brunei
India (because today is the 28th of Sha`ban in it).
Pakistan (because today is the 28th of Shaban in it).
Bangladesh (because today is the 28th of Shaban in it).

This comes as the Arab and Islamic countries await the sighting of the crescent of the holy month of Ramadan, today, Sunday, March 10, 2024. Astronomical calculations in Egypt and many countries indicate that the sighting of the crescent of Ramadan has been proven today, declaring Monday the beginning of the month of fasting. However, controversy has been raised in the past few hours in many countries. Arabic: Astronomers and weather experts blew it up about the possibility that the beginning of Ramadan will fall next Tuesday.
